Virtual seminar: "Rightsizing" for a New Lifestyle
King-Bruwaert House invites Chamber members and area residents to a virtual seminar, “Rightsizing for a New Lifestyle,” from 11 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Sept. 10.
The program will feature insights from Tammy Bilek, a senior downsizing expert, who prefers the concept of “rightsizing” when anticipating a lifestyle change. She will suggest tools and resources to make moving a smooth transition. She will also share her experience in helping senior adults transition to community living. Her discussion will include: reasons for considering a move; ways to make downsizing less stressful; tips for sorting, organizing and rightsizing your belongings; and the advantages of planning auctions and estate sales.
To register for the seminar, go to: carringtonhall.org/seminar; or call (630) 230-9543 for additional questions and information.
For those considering a move to Assisted Living in the near future, information is also available for Carrington Hall, spacious Assisted Living suites that feature kitchenettes, in-unit washer/dryer, living room, bedroom, generous closets and large bathroom. Carrington Hall includes many amenities and services including daily meals and activities, weekly housekeeping, scheduled transportation and experienced, trained staff to offer personalized care and attention.
