CMAP/ULI "Developers Discussion"
The West Suburban Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WSCCI) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI), in collaboration with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), are hosting a “Developers Dialogue” on the state of industrial development in the Chamber Service area. Discussion topics will include:
- Lessons learned from ULI’s recent Technical Assistance Workshop on “cargo-oriented development” in the Village of Willow Springs
- Best practices for site selection and site prep – what makes a site suitable for industrial vs. retail vs. service uses?
- Best practices in using incentives to attract development
- Strategies for low-staff communities to make connections with developers
