Part-Time Membership Sales Coordinator

Position Overview
The West Suburban Chamber of Commerce & Industry (WSCCI) is seeking a driven, results-oriented professional to lead membership growth and engagement efforts. This role is responsible for actively generating new member leads, converting prospects, and strengthening relationships with existing members to support retention and revenue goals. This position reports directly to the CEO.


Key Responsibilities
Membership Sales & Growth
  • Proactively identify, contact, and engage prospective members through phone, email, and in-person visits
  • Clearly communicate the value of WSCCI membership and convert prospects into members
  • Maintain an active pipeline of leads with defined next steps and follow-up actions
  • Meet established monthly and quarterly membership growth goals (to be determined with leadership)
  • Identify new opportunities for membership development and outreach
Member Engagement & Retention
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing members
  • Support renewal efforts and assist in identifying retention opportunities
  • Serve as a responsive point of contact for member inquiries and follow-up needs
Reporting, CRM & Accountability
  • Maintain accurate records of all outreach activities, including business name, contact person, method of contact, and outcome
  • Track and manage all prospects and member interactions using an internal CRM system to manage a sales pipeline, track leads, and support follow-up and conversion efforts
  • Ensure all outreach activity and follow-up actions are consistently and accurately recorded in the CRM system
  • Provide weekly activity summaries including pipeline updates, outreach activity, wins, and challenges
  • Attend weekly performance meetings with the CEO to review progress, goals, and priorities
  • Record mileage and field activity as required
Outreach Activity Expectations
  • Meet minimum weekly outreach targets (calls, emails, and/or in-person visits to be defined)
  • Maintain consistent follow-up on all leads within 48 hours
  • Demonstrate consistent pipeline activity leading to measurable conversions

Additional Responsibilities
  • Attend WSCCI events as needed, including occasional early morning, evening, or off-hours programming
  • Represent WSCCI professionally at events and in the community
  • Support and collaborate with the WSCCI Ambassador Committee as needed
  • Assist in identifying member engagement opportunities through community interaction

Qualifications
  • High school diploma required
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, account management, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and closing skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet defined goals
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accountability
  • Experience using an internal CRM system to manage a sales pipeline, track leads, and support follow-up and conversion efforts
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for tracking, reporting, and data management, as well as Word and Outlook
  • Comfortable working in a goal-driven, performance-based environment
  • Some college coursework or relevant certifications preferred

Schedule & Compensation
  • Part-time position (15–20 hours per week)
  • Some flexibility required for events and off-hours engagement
  • Compensation: Hourly rate aligned with experience. Compensation overview will be discussed during the interview process. This position is performance-driven, with clear expectations for outreach, activity, and results aligned with organizational goals.
