Special Education Virtual Information Session
You live with intentionality, aspiring to make a difference wherever you are, in whatever you do. We see it in your desire to provide all youth with high-quality academic and social environments despite their abilities or disabilities. That's why you belong in Lewis University's Special Education, MA program.
- Program is specially designed to prepare you to teach students with disabilities in kindergarten through age 22 in public and private schools.
- Cohort-based format allows you to build collaborative relationships with colleagues so you can build inclusive communities for learners, become an informed decision-maker, and be prepared to use a variety of teaching methods across academic disciplines.
- Three field experiences prior to student teaching to provide you with diverse teaching experiences.
- Low student-to-teacher ratio allows you to work closely with faculty mentors to build relationships that last well beyond graduation.
- Program can be completed in six semesters (including summers).
- Highly reputable program has resulted in our graduates being in-demand by local school districts.
- The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts a 6% growth in demand for Special Ed teachers through 2024.
