Join LTMHC and NAMI Metro Suburban for a two-part educational series designed to help parents, guardians, and caregivers learn how to better support the mental health of the young people in their lives. The first workshop in this series was conducted on Thursday, January 8th, 2026.

These workshops will provide practical tools, meaningful insights, and supportive guidance to help families navigate mental health challenges with confidence and compassion.

This session focuses on strengthening communication with teens through practical strategies and evidence-informed skills. Participants will explore techniques such as validating statements, “I” communication, expressing curiosity, and practicing active, empathetic listening.

The workshops are free and open to parents, guardians, and loved ones seeking to build stronger, healthier connections with the youth in their lives.
